The deadline of abstract submission was January 5, 2002. Thank you for your submissions. It was the final deadline. Abstracts was submitted using the form found at

The abstracts will be reviewed by the Symposium Committees. Notification of provisional acceptance will be at April 10, 2002. The organizing committee is proposing a special issue on magnetic bearings for JSME International Journal. Selected papers would be published in this special issue.

Conference Fee

Regular: 50,000 yen.
Members of supporting societies: 45,000 yen.
Authors: 40,000 yen.
Additional paper charge: 15,000 yen.
Student (Full Registration): 25,000 yen.
Late Charge (after May 20, 2002): 5,000 yen.
The conference fee includes the proceedings, reception, symposium banquet, and coffee breaks. The principal author or presenter of a paper is expected to pre-register for the symposium. The author who plans to submit more than two papers should pay 15,000 yen for each additional paper.
